COVID-19 Protocol Update

We are thrilled to announce that travel restrictions have eased. Here is some information to help you prepare to travel to Belize:
  • Effective March 1, 2022, fully Vaccinated travelers must show proof of vaccination for entry into Belize’s airport, land port or seaport. A negative Test is no longer required for fully vaccinated travelers.

  • If unable to show proof or if the traveler is unvaccinated, proof of a negative Covid test can be presented or a test can be administrated by the ministry responsible for health at border points.

  • Home testing kits are not accepted.
  • We highly recommend our guests to get tested before arrival at the International Airport in Belize as this provides a peace of mind.
  • Caution: We have found out that some airlines require a negative test before boarding in the US for your flight to Belize.
  • Effect February 15th, 2022, ALL guests arriving in Belize are required to purchase Belize Travel Insurance available at US$18.00 per guest.

  • For more details on this new requirement and to purchase the insurance visit this link: Belize Travel Insurance

  • The Ministry of Health reserves the right to randomly test on arrival at the Belize International Airport.
  • Testing at the airport is done on a “swab and go” basis. Only positive cases will receive notification from the Ministry of Health, and within 24 hours. Positive cases are required to quarantine for 10 days and must test negative before their departure from Belize. We highly recommend our guests being tested prior to arrival for their peace of mind.
